ECF Password Security

HIGHLIGHTS

ECF Version 4, which is coming to the Western District Bankruptcy Court in Spring 2011, will require new password security. All passwords will need to meet the new requirements.The requirements are as follows:

Although not necessary now, you may select a stronger password prior to the upgrade. To update your password in ECF:

  1. Log into ECF
  2. Select UTILITIES
  3. Select MAINTAIN YOUR ECF ACCOUNT link
  4. Click MORE USER INFORMATION button
  5. Update your password
  6. Click RETURN TO ACCOUNT SCREEN button
  7. Click SUBMIT button
  8. Click NEXT
  9. Look for the message to display “User update successful”. If not, contact the Clerk’s office.
