Basic ECF Training

Description

Basic ECF training is for attorneys (and staff) to learn how to file electronically in the Western District of Wisconsin in order to obtain an attorney login. CLE credit is available to attorneys who complete training. Note: Logins are issued only to attorneys.

If you are interested in attending this class, please check the schedule below. If we do not have a class available on a date or location that works for you, or you need more information, please email the Helpdesk, or call: (800) 373-8708.

All training starts at 9:00 a.m.. Training is conducted one day every month on an as needed basis. Contact the courthourse for more information on dates. In Madison contact Kathleen at (608) 261-5744 or kathleen_boucher@wiwb.uscourts.gov. In Eau Claire contact Monica at (715) 839-2980 ext. 114 or monica_olson@wiwb.uscourts.gov. Register
Complete and mail the registration form to the appropriate Madison or Eau Claire address

Training Exercise

Do you want to see how ECF works? The PACER website has computer based training modules.

Prerequisites:
  1. A pdf compatible word processing program-Word or Word Perfect.
  2. Adobe Acrobat Software 4.0 or later (Acrobat Reader & Acrobat Writer) to convert documents from word processing format to PDF.
  3. A scanner either attached or networked to the computer intended for CM/ECF use.
  4. A PACER login & password
