New Hearing Call-in Procedures--Madison
Effective Monday, May 12, 2014, our Madison office will be using a toll-free call-in number for all preliminary hearings and pretrial conferences. In other words, we will no longer call you for hearings, you will call us.
Hearing notices will include the call-in number and access code. More specific procedures are available here.

Notice of Hearing in Blank Requirement Eliminated
Automated hearing notice forms, developed by our ECF Administrator, Susan Hoffman, have eliminated the need for a notice of hearing in blank document for Madison pleadings that require a hearing be scheduled. When docketing the hearing scheduled event, the ECF system will automatically create the hearing notice and provide additional service information:
- All parties served electronically
- Moving party to serve and provide proof of same
- Notice mailed via Bankruptcy Noticing Center
Please bear with us as we remove all references from the User's Manual.
Filing of Personal Financial Management Certificate
NOW AVAILABLE--The Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will permit approved personal financial management course providers to file the Certificate of Debtor Education under Rule 1007(b)(7), electronically using the electronic financial management course certificate filing program (eFinCert) instead of requiring course providers to register as a limited filer in the courtís CM/ECF case management system. More information.
ECF User's Manual
This manual is designed as a guide to assist registered ECF Users in filing documents electronically. Although filing requirements and references to the Bankruptcy Code and/or Rules may be provided for some topics, this manual should not be relied upon exclusively by the user. The actual Bankruptcy Code and/or Rules should still be consulted.
