Declarations Re: Electronic Filing Requirement Eliminated
Effective immediately, it is no longer necessary to file the “Declarations Re: Electronic Filing’ in hard copy with the Court. The attorney must still obtain a signature on the form and should retain it with their records for a minimum of two years. Upon request, the original signed document must be provided to the Court or other parties for review.
New Hearing Call-in Procedures--Madison
Effective Monday, May 12, 2014, our Madison office will be using a toll-free call-in number for all preliminary hearings and pretrial conferences. In other words, we will no longer call you for hearings, you will call us.
Hearing notices will include the call-in number and access code. More specific procedures are available here.
Fee Changes Effective June 1, 2014
At its March 2014 session the Judicial Conference approved changes to the Bankruptcy Court Miscellaneous Fee Schedule, which went into effect June 1, 2014. New amounts are listed below (and on our fees page).
Total amounts due to file a new petition OR bifurcate (split) a joint case:
- Chapter 7 -- $335.00
- Chapter 9 -- $1717.00
- Chapter 11 -- $1717.00
- Chapter 12 -- $275.00
- Chapter 13 -- $310.00
Total amount due to file an Adversary Proceeding: $350.00
