Methods of Payments

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin accepts the following forms of payment for fees and associated Court costs.

Fees Paid by Debtors:

Acceptable forms of payments are either cashier's check, money order, or cash* (exact amount ONLY). Personal checks will not be accepted at either location. Please make payments payable to: Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and note the case number or Debtor's last name in the check memo.

*Cash is not accepted at the Eau Claire Divisional Office

Fees Paid by Attorneys or Parties (other than debtors):

Attorneys and parties (other than Debtors) can pay fees and associated Court costs by credit card, law firm/business check, cashier's check, money order, or cash*  (exact amount ONLY).   Please make payments payable to: Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and note the case number or Debtor's last name in the check memo.  In addition, electronic filers can sign up and pay through the U.S. Treasury’s web payment service: pay.gov

*Cash is not accepted at the Eau Claire Divisional Office
