Bankruptcy Court Closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in Observance of Columbus Day
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. The Court will resume normal operations on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Scheduled System Maintenance
PACER will undergo maintenance on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., EST.  The maintenance will improve PACER server security, address security vulnerabilities, fix performance bugs, and enhance security features. PACER users and Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) e-filers may experience intermittent issues when attempting to log in or make a payment through pay.gov during the maintenance.  If connectivity issues occur, PACER recommends that users reset their connection or refresh their browser.

Implementation of Virtual § 341 Meeting of Creditors
The U.S. Trustee Program will be implementing virtual §341 meeting of creditors in chapter 7, 12, and 13 cases in the District of Western District of Wisconsin for § 341 meetings being held on or after October 1, 2023. The Court will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

Request for Public Comment on Proposed Amendments to the Federal Rules and Forms
The Judicial Conference Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure has approved for publication for public comment the following proposed amendments to existing rules and forms, as well as one new rule: Appellate Rules 6 and 39; Bankruptcy Rules 3002.1 and 8006; Bankruptcy Official Forms 410, 410C13-M1, 410C13-M1R, 410C13-N, 410C13-NR, 410C13-M2, and 410C13-M2R; and Civil Rules 16, 26, and new Rule 16.1. The public comment period is open from August 15, 2023, to February 16, 2024. PACER Availability – August 13
PACER users and NextGen (CM/ECF) e-filers may experience intermittent service disruptions affecting both the login process and when making payments through pay.gov on Sunday, August 13, from 1:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. due to maintenance. Please plan accordingly.

CM/ECF – Train and CM/ECF – Test, Unavailable During National Systems Migration until November 1, 2023
On August 2, 2023, the Court will participate in a national systems migration affecting  CM/ECF – Train and CM/ECF – Test. These servers will be unavailable until November 1, 2023. CM/ECF – Live will not be affected and will remain operational. Please contact the Clerk’s office at (833) 758-0380, should you have any questions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Clerk’s Office Closure on Friday, August 11, 2023
The Clerk’s Offices in both Madison and Eau Claire will be closed for all in-person filings on Friday, August 11, 2023, to enable staff to attend a district-wide training program.  CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. Documents that must be filed in-person can be delivered to U.S. District Court located at 120 North Henry Street, Room 320, Madison, Wisconsin 53703, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Documents that would normally be filed in-person at the Eau Claire divisional office can be dropped off in the court’s drop box located on the first floor of the Eau Claire Courthouse. Procedure for Emergency Filings: For questions regarding emergency filing or to make arrangements to file an emergency document on Friday, August 11, 2023, please contact the Clerk’s Office at (833) 758-0380. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Monday, June 19, 2023, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. The Court will resume normal operations on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
