Last Updated: May 8, 2015

All individual debtors must receive credit counseling from an approved credit counseling agency within 180 days BEFORE filing for bankruptcy. Limited exceptions are noted on Exhibit D - Individual Debtor's Statement of Compliance with Credit Counseling Requirements. The Certificate is required at case opening, but is filed separate from the petition.
