Objection to Claim

Filing Requirements:

• Objection to Claim (include claim number, amount of claim, and date filed)

• Affidavit in Support of Objection to Claim (Available under Claim Actions)
  
  Note: If the objection contains an explanation or reason for the objection, a separate Affidavit is not needed.

• Notice of Objection to Claim giving 30 days to object. Notice is sent to the parties in interest.

• Proof of Service

• Proposed Order (may be filed after the last day to object has expired)

To File Electronically:

1. Log into CM/ECF.

2. Select [Bankruptcy >  Claims Actions].

3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).

4. Select [Objection to Claim] from the event list.

5. Skip the Joint Filing screen.

6. Select the party filer.

7. Browse to select the Objection to Claim (.pdf file).
   
   Note:  The Objection, Notice of Objection, Affidavit, and Proof of Service may be a single PDF; or the Notice, supporting documents, and Proof of Service may be added as attachments to this document. The Objection MUST be the first document in your PDF. The proposed order must be filed separately using the proposed order event.

8. Select Related Claim(s) from list.

9. Enter name of creditor in text box.

10. Enter the last day to object (defaults to 30 days; modify if necessary).
    
    Note: Remove this date if you are not filing a Notice at this time.

11. Is this an Amended Objection?

12. Modify text as appropriate.

13. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your documents.
    
    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
