Assigning a Judge and Trustee

Note: If several cases are filed the same day, it is suggested that you open all cases and then run the Judge/Trustee Assignment.  The possibility of the getting the same 341 meeting time and trustee are greater. This entry should always be made the same day a case is filed.

Instructions:

  1. Select Bankruptcy.
     

  2. Select Judge/Trustee Assignment.
     

  3. Note the assignments.

Notes:

  • Chapter 11 341 meetings are entered by the U.S. Trustee’s office.  The Judge/Trustee Assignment assigns the Judge only.

  • If opening a Chapter 13 case (through the Open a BK Case) and filing a Chapter 13 Plan, continue with Chapter 13 Plan procedure.
