View this Manual and CM/ECF Simultaneously

This manual and the CM/ECF screen can be resized to fit a portion of your window so you can work simultaneously within the two mediums.

To Open the two windows:

  1. Window 1: Open your browser and access the CM/ECF Users' Manual (http://www.wiw.uscourts.gov/bankruptcy/webhelp/ecf_atty_manual.htm)

  2. Window 2: Access CM/ECF from the currently opened browser window.

    • Click on the File drop down menu and select New Window.

    • Access CM/ECF from the currently opened browser window but do NOT log in. (https://ecf.wiwb.uscourts.gov/)

       

To Resize the CM/ECF Window:

  1. Click on the minimize button at the top-right hand corner, middle button (minimize button) of the CM/ECF window. This will reduce the size of the window.

    Recommended size: 2/3's of screen monitor

  2. Adjust the window height:

    • With double arrows showing, click on the top or bottom of the window frame and move up or down.

  3. Adjust the window width:

    • With double arrows showing, click on the window's left or right side of frame and move left or right.

  4. Adjust diagonally:

    • With the arrow showing, click on any corner and move in diagonally.

  5. Log into CM/ECF.

To Resize the Manual Window:

  1. Click anywhere on the manual screen to make it the active screen.

  2. Click on the minimize button at the top-right hand corner, middle button (minimize button) of the manual screen. This will reduce the size of the window.

    Recommended size: 1/3 of screen monitor

  3. Adjust the window height:

    • With double arrows showing, click on the top or button of the window frame and move up or down.

  4. Adjust the window width:

    • With double arrows showing, click on the window's left or right side of frame and move left or right.

  5. Adjust diagonally:

    • With the arrow showing, click on any corner and move in diagonally.

TIP: When viewing the CM/ECF Users' Manual in Internet Explorer, after finding your topic, click on the red X image5.gif to hide the navigation panel thus giving you more viewable content.  When viewing in other browsers, you can adjust the width of the navigation panel by clicking on the frame and moving to the left or right.
