  The U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Wisconsin, will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2017, Tuesday, December 26, 2017, and Monday, January 1, 2018.  All court systems (CM/ECF, McVCIS, PACER, and ePOC) will continue to operate during the closure. If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk's Office at (608) 264-5178 or (715) 839-2980.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin has adopted Local Rule 3015.1.  The updated Local Rules can be accessed here.    The Court has posted new local forms for Chapter 13 plan, modified plan, and amended plan on the court’s website under Code, Rules & Forms > Forms.  The new local forms can also be accessed here.  The new Chapter 13 Plan is in a PDF expandable/collapsible format.  To use the Chapter 13 Plan form, right click and save the PDF to your computer and then open the file.

  On April 27, 2017, the Supreme Court adopted the following changes to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure: Bankruptcy Rules 1001, 1006, 1015, 2002, 3002, 3007, 3012, 3015, 3015.1 (new), 4003, 5009, 7001, and 9009.  These changes are scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2017, and are available here.  Attorneys practicing in the Western District of Wisconsin are encouraged to review the changes and perform any further research needed prior to filing documents with the Court on or after December 1, 2017.

Thursday, September 21, 2017  Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin invites public comment on the proposed amendments to its local rules and local forms, several of which are being amended to incorporate changes in the federal bankruptcy rules and forms scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2017.  Copies of the proposed amendments are available here and the new Chapter 13 Plan is here as well as on our website. Comments on the proposed local rule and form changes should be received by October 20, 2017. Comments can be made by email to Marcia_Anderson@wiwb.uscourts.gov or in writing addressed to: Marcia M. The Judicial Conference Advisory Committees on Appellate, Bankruptcy, Criminal and Evidence Rules have proposed amendments to Bankruptcy Rules 2002, 4001, 6007, 9036, 9037, and Official Form 410, and have asked that they be circulated to the bench, bar, and public for comment.  The public comment period ends February 15, 2018.
