Bankruptcy Court Closed on Monday, December 25, and Monday, January 1, in Observance of the Christmas and New Year Holidays
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023, in observance of the Christmas holiday, and on Monday, January 1, 2024, in observance of the New Year holiday. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will accept electronic filings from registered users. The court will resume normal operations on Tuesday, December 27, 2023, and Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Amendments to Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, Official Bankruptcy Forms, Fee Changes and Updates to Mandatory Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Thresholds: Effective December 1, 2023

Bankruptcy Court Closed on November 23 and 24, 2023, in Observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24, 2023, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  CM/ECF will be fully operational and will accept electronic filings from registered users. The court will resume normal operations on Monday, November 27, 2023.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023, in observance of Veterans Day. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. The Court will resume normal operations on Monday, November 13, 2023.

New Chapter 13 Plan Form and New CM/ECF Event with Corresponding Local Form, Effective November 15, 2023
The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, in collaboration with Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee and the Local Rules Advisory Committee, have revised the Western District’s chapter 13 plan form and approved a new local form, Notification of Change in the Manner of Payment to the Chapter 13 Trustee. Beginning November 15, 2023, all chapter 13 plans, including initial, amended, and modified, must conform to the new chapter 13 plan form, pursuant to Local Rule 3015-1. The new chapter 13 plan form is available on the court’s website. NEW Chapter 13 Plan FORM Deficiency notices may be sent out in response to the use of the old form after November 15, 2023. The new local form, Notification of Change in the Manner of Payment to the Chapter 13 Trustee, is also effective November 15, 2023. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. The Court will resume normal operations on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Scheduled System Maintenance
PACER will undergo maintenance on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., EST.  The maintenance will improve PACER server security, address security vulnerabilities, fix performance bugs, and enhance security features. PACER users and Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) e-filers may experience intermittent issues when attempting to log in or make a payment through pay.gov during the maintenance.  If connectivity issues occur, PACER recommends that users reset their connection or refresh their browser.

Implementation of Virtual § 341 Meeting of Creditors
The U.S. Trustee Program will be implementing virtual §341 meeting of creditors in chapter 7, 12, and 13 cases in the District of Western District of Wisconsin for § 341 meetings being held on or after October 1, 2023.
