Update Regarding BNC Service Interruption and Accessing the List of Creditors in CM/ECF

Thursday, October 15, 2026

As described in the court’s October 13 notice, the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) has been experiencing a nationwide service interruption. During this interruption, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will continue to accept filings, open cases, and process documents according to standard procedures. However, notices and orders from the court may be entered and served late until the interruption is resolved. This includes notices of the meeting of creditors (341 notices).

General Order 2026-3 remains in effect until further order of the court. It provides relief for parties affected by the interruption, including the ability to ask the court to extend or reset deadlines or to continue hearings. All scheduled hearings will proceed unless the court orders otherwise.

The BNC interruption is also affecting CM/ECF users’ access to the mailing matrix. Until it is resolved, CM/ECF users who need to serve pleadings, notices, or orders can find the creditors and their addresses in a case as follows:

Accessing the List of Creditors:

  1. Select “Query” from the top menu in CM/ECF.
  2. Enter the case number and select the “Run Query” button.
  3. Select the “Creditor” link.
  4. The next screen asks which creditor type to search. Leave the “Creditor type” selection blank and select “Run Query” to list all creditors.
  5. The next screen displays the list of creditors and their addresses to assist with service.

Please note that the list of creditors does not include all interested parties in a case, such as the debtor(s), trustees, or the U.S. Trustee. Parties and counsel should review applicable service requirements to ensure that notice is provided to all appropriate parties, including those not on CM/ECF’s list of creditors.

Updates will be posted as more information becomes available.

Questions may be directed to the Clerk’s Office at (833) 758-0380.
