The Judicial Conference Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure has approved publication for public comment of proposed amendments to existing rules and forms, as well as one new rule.
Appellate Rules 29 and 32, Appendix on Length Limits, and Form 4;
Bankruptcy Rules 1007, 3018, 5009, 9006, 9014, 9017, new Rule 7043, and Official Form 410S1; and
Evidence Rule 801.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin is seeking Open Market price quotes for the provision and installation of wall covering, spectator bench seating and chair reupholstery in Courtroom 350 within the Robert W. Kastenmeier U.S. Courthouse located in Madison, Wisconsin.

Please take note that the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin has amended Local Rule 1007-2 to the following:
All voluntary petitions for relief under any chapter of the Bankruptcy Code shall be accompanied by a mailing matrix prepared on 8 1/2 by 11-inch paper listing the creditors in a single column in the center of the page using Arial, Times New Roman, or Courier in size 10 typeface at a minimum as in the following example.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5, 2024, in observance of Independence Day. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. The Court will resume normal operations on Monday, July 8, 2024.

The Clerk’s Offices in both Madison and Eau Claire will be closed for all in-person filings on Friday, June 21, 2024, to enable staff to attend a district-wide training program. CM/ECF will be fully operational and will be accepting electronic filings from registered users. Documents that must be filed in-person can be delivered to U.S. District Court located at 120 North Henry Street, Room 320, Madison, Wisconsin 53703, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Documents that would normally be filed in-person at the Eau Claire divisional office can be dropped off in the court’s drop box located on the first floor of the Eau Claire Courthouse.
Procedure for Emergency Filings: For questions regarding emergency filing or to make arrangements to file an emergency document on Friday, June 21, 2024, please contact the Clerk’s Office at (833) 758-0380.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin’s Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system will be undergoing maintenance.
The system will be unavailable starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, through 10:00 p.m. that same evening. During this time, electronic filers will not be able to access CM/ECF nor file documents electronically. Please plan accordingly.
