Court Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Wisconsin, will be closed on January 21, 2019, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Bankruptcy Court Open During Government Shutdown
Despite a government shutdown, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will remain open and continue operations through January 11, 2019, at which time the Federal Judiciary will reassess its situation. All proceedings and deadlines remain in effect as scheduled unless otherwise advised. The electronic filing system, CM/ECF, will remain in operation for the electronic filing of documents with the Court.

Holiday Closures (Updated)
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Wisconsin, will be closed on Monday, December 24, 2018 and Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in observance of the Christmas holiday. The court will also be closed on Monday, December 31, 2018 and Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in observance of the New Year holiday.  All court systems (CM/ECF, McVCIS, PACER, and ePOC) will continue to operate during the closure. Amendments to Federal Bankruptcy Rules and Forms Effective December 1, 2018
The following rules were adopted by the United States Supreme Court and transmitted to the U.S. Congress on April 26, 2018 (including adoption of new Bankruptcy Rule 8018.1), and are effective December 1, 2018: Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure: 3002.1, 5005, 7004, 7062, 8002, 8006, 8007, 8010, 8011, 8013, 8015, 8016, 8017, 8021, 8022, 9025, new Rule 8018.1, and new Part VIII Appendix. In addition, the following amended official bankruptcy forms and new and amended Director’s forms are effective December 1, 2018. Official Bankruptcy Forms Form 411A (General Power of Attorney) Form 411B (Special Power of Attorney) Form 417A (Notice of Appeal and Statement of Election) Form 417C (Certificate of Compliance with Type-Volume Limit, Typeface Requirements, and Type-Style Requirements)  Director’s Forms Form 2000 (Required Lists, Schedules, Statements and Fees) Form 3180W (Order of Discharge in Chapter 13 Case) New Form 4170 (Declaration of Inmate Filing)

National Day of Mourning for George H.W. Bush - Court Closed
In recognition of the President’s announcement of a National Day of Mourning for George H.W. Bush, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Wisconsin will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

Both the Madison and Eau Claire offices will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018 for Veterans Day.

Both the Madison and Eau Claire offices will be closed on Monday, October 08, 2018 for the Columbus Day holiday.
